Budweiser is having a throwback moment for the holidays. The Anheuser-Busch company is slapping vintage labels on 1.6 million cases of Budweiser beer bottles.
The vintage labels include the last Budweiser label before Prohibition in 1918, the 1933 label following the repeal of Prohibition, and the label from 1976 celebrating Budweiser’s 100-year brand anniversary. Wooden Box With Hinged Lid
And in case you’re wondering what all that teeny tiny cursive writing says, it reads: “Brewed by the original Budweiser process using the choiciest hops, rice, and best barley malt.”
The brand produced 10,000 handmade wooden crates filled with 18 Budweiser bottles with vintage labels, and two Pilsener glasses. The company says the crates are hitting store shelves around the country this week.
If you’re looking to get a hold of a beer-filled crate, you can call (800) DIALBUD to find one near you. The suggested retail price is around $40.
But will these vintage labels give bearded hipsters a newfound propensity for Budweiser over PBR? Only time and more beer will tell.
