A Nampa hat maker not only has a feather in its cap(s) literally – but is selling products in stores nationwide. Visor
Whiskey Ranch, which has a storefront at 1203 Industrial Road, makes hand-burnt and shaped flat-brim, cowboy and trucker hats ranging from $30 – $500.
“There has been a fast-growing interest in flat brim hats,” owner Ashley Gusaas said. “The show Yellowstone and famous artist Lainey Wilson have set the trend.”
Gusaas says they burn free-handed designs flat, brim felt hats, and cowboy hats.
“Since all of the designs are free-handed, no hat will be the same,” Gusaas said. “Our customers love that their hat is unique and one of a kind.”
Custom designs are done in the Nampa store, which is open on Thursday and Friday from 12-3 and Saturdays from 12-5. Whiskey Ranch also sells its hats in over 70 stores nationwide and in local D&B Supply stores across the Treasure Valley.
“Opening the store has been incredible,” Gusaas said of the storefront, which has been open since December. “We appreciate all of the love and support we have received so far.”
