Bandar Abbas Power Plant in Hormozgan Province has succeeded in indigenizing its parts and equipment, the managing director of the provincial Electricity Production Management Company said. “The power station in recent years has made efforts to achieve self-sufficiency in the field of manufacturing parts with the help of domestic manufacturers,” Darioush Mahmoudi was also quoted as saying by IRNA. “In the high-pressure air compressor of the power plant, several parts, including connecting rods, HP shafts and pistons, air filters, piston rings, rider rings, inlet valves and bearings, have been indigenized,” he said. “Air compressors play a key role in the operation and management of power plants. At present, the manufacture and maintenance of high-pressure air compressor parts are thoroughly carried out locally with the efforts of the company's experts and engineers, and without the help of foreign countries.”
